True stories regarding slavery in the United States of America. Over 2200 accounts where given in the 1930`s. These accounts where known as the Slave Narratives. Other narratives are available from various times throughout the period of Slavery in America. The slave narratives detail the barbarism of Slavery with graphic accounts of punishments, housing, food, clothing, patrols, the breeding of female slaves and the separation of families when placed onto the slave auction blocks that could be found around all Southern States. Other narratives document the seizure, captivity and enslavement of Africans and include the horrific experience on the Slave ships in the Atlantic. These stories document the true Horror of Slavery.
